The 2022 GWM Cannon is one of the more compelling value picks in the dualcab ute market. It comes with a 2.0litre turbodiesel engine pushing around 120kW and 400Nm of torque, paired with an 8speed automatic. It offers decent towing (up to about 3,000kg braked) and a payload in the 1,0401,050kg range depending on trim, which makes it suitably capable for many tradie, towing, or recreational tasks. On the features front, even mid to higher trims get you things like a large 9inch infotainment screen (with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto), LED lighting, a 7inch digital driver display, and quality touches in interior trim materials. Ride and comfort are reasonable, though the suspension can feel a bit stiff, especially when unladen or on rough roads.
